Technical Education
Our Technical Education courses are divided into two tracks; a Technical track and a Project Lead the Way® (PLTW) Engineering track. The Technical track provides experience with professional equipment and industry technology. These classes are intended to introduce students to professional skills needed in today’s market place with a wide range of high-wage, high-skill, high-demand careers. Whether your interest is construction, industrial design, graphic arts, Computer Aided Design, architecture or knowing how an engine works, out technical classes will inspire and prepare you for your future. These courses are open to students of all ability levels with no prerequisites, and are perfect for anyone interested in hands-on knowledge and experience that can’t be found in other classes.
Our Engineering track uses the Project Lead the Way Curriculum. These courses apply advanced mathematical and scientific problem-solving to expose students to the demands of the 21st century economy. Lessons are problem based and the courses culminate in students designing and implementing their own innovations. These classes are offered at the honors level and are designed to be taken in sequence.
