This year the Preliminary SAT - National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test is an optional test for students that would like to qualify for various commendations or scholarships. Only students who opt into the test will take it.. The test will be administered during school hours on October 8, 2024.

Schedule
The test date is Tuesday, October 22 (formerly October 8)
Students are to report to the fieldhouse hallway with fully-charged Chromebooks and chargers at 8am for their room assignment. Most will be in the fieldhouse, but accommodated testing will occur in nearby classrooms.
Student calculators are permitted, but there is also a calculator within the testing app.
Standard testing will conclude near the end of Block 6, and students will report to their Block 7 classes.
Accommodated testing will finish later that afternoon, and students will report to class once they’ve had a chance to eat lunch.
